    "Hey, DeviA, guess what?"
deviantArt jumped in shock and turned around. The sweatervest-clad, pretends-to-be-a-genius dweeb known as Wikipedia stood behind her, cockeyed grin plastered across his face.
"What do you want, Wikipedia?" deviantArt asked.
"I heard from a very reliable source that you and YouTube are semi-official." Wiki's grin widened.
"Did Facebook bribe Instagram again? I swear, those stupid filters of his are going to be the death of me..." The pale girl muttered angrily, twirling her pencil between her fingers.
"Nah, it was Fanfiction this time. She thinks you two would be cute together."
"Did she ask Tumblr, the ALMIGHTY LORD OF SHIPPING?"
Wikipedia snorted, shot DeviA a haughty look and sauntered away. DeviA threw her pencil at him and watched it whack him in the back of the head. He turned around and tossed it back to her, winking mischeviously. She adjusted her lopsided beanie and huffed in frustration. She felt a breeze whoosh by her and suddenly, there was Facebook. Her least favorite person.
"Soooooooo?" Facebook asked, twirling her silky blonde hair around her index finger.
"No, me and YouTube are NOT semi-official." DeviA rolled her eyes.
"Does that mean you're OFFICIAL official?? Can I tell everyone?"
"NO, Facebook, you cannot. Now where's Fanfiction? I need to have a word with her."
Facebook giggled behind her fingertips and pointed down the hall and to the right. DeviA stalked in the direction she was pointed whilst Facebook skipped off to join her boyfriend Instagram for a lunch break selfie and a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Meanwhile, DeviA snuck up behind the always-busy Fanfiction, who was in a writing tizzy at the moment, and grabbed her shoulders. Fanfiction jumped out of her seat and squeaked in fear, spilling her hot tea all over her lap. Which only made her scream more. Which in turn attracted the attention of Twitter, Tumblr, and Yahoo.
"Yeesh, DeviA! What on earth was that for?!" Fanfiction demanded, wiping off her sweater as best as she could.
"What are you doing spreading around rumors about me and YouTube?" DeviA hissed. "You know I don't play for that team."
"Duh!" Fanfiction smiled. "I know Twitter doesn't play for that team, either, but I can't help jotting down some oneshots about her and Blogger!"
"You tell me right now who you told or no more cover commissions. Got it?"
What a low blow for DeviA, right? She loved doing commissions. She loved it so much she'd even do commissions for Facebook if the girl paid enough. Tumblr jumped into the conversation, helping Fanfiction wipe tea off her pants. She looked up and saw her friend's flustered expression.
"What's going on, Dev?" She asked. "Are you freaking out?"
"Fanfiction here decided to spread some rumors about me and your almost-boyfriend." DeviA scolded, glaring at Fanfiction.
Fanfiction blushed and sunk down lower in her chair. Now that Tumblr was in on the battle, things were about to get frightening.
"Dev... And YouTube?" Tumblr spoke slowly for once. A long pause followed before: "HAHAHAHAHA! That! Just... I can't even. I mean... Fic. Come on. We both know our favorite designer has the rainbow flag under her boot just waiting to wave it 'round."
DeviA turned beet red and shoved Tumblr angrily, to which her hyperactive best friend responded with a playful punch in the arm. Now it was Twitter and Yahoo's turns to join in.
"You guys are talking so quietly we can't hear you." Yahoo said in her soft, nervous voice.
"Maybe because we don't WANT you to hear us, Yahoo." DeviA spoke through clenched teeth and a forced smile.
"By the way," Tumblr tried to veer the topic away from her friend's frustration. "how's it going with you and Google?"
Yahoo's cheeks turned pink and she rubbed her elbow. It hadn't been all that long ago that she and her office neighbor Google had become official. Twitter grinned and tapped the little bird pendant atop her head.
    "Oooh, Yahoo's embarrassed!" She said.
"Yahoo's embarrassed!" The bird's crackling, robotic voice repeated.
The sound echoed through the room. Yahoo's freckle-dotted face flushed and she collapsed into a chair. She buried her face in her hands while Tumblr and DeviA patted her shoulders. Footsteps pounded down the hall and many new faces entered the room. Google made his way to Yahoo's side. The slim girl adjusted her glasses and flattened her pencil skirt.
"What's going on, cutie?" He asked in that smooth, sultry voice she loved so much.
"Ugh, I need a lunch break." Yahoo huffed.
Google took her hand and pulled her from the chair, brushing her bangs from her face and kissing her cheek softly.
"Then to lunch we shall go." He grinned.
As Google and Yahoo exited together, Instagram and Facebook shoved their way past Pandora and Wikipedia and into the room. Instagram held up his camera and snapped a quick photo of the room, then showed it to Facebook.
"Fetch! That goes on the update wall."
"Yeesh, Facebook, stop trying to make 'fetch' happen." A new voice said. "It's not going to happen."
YouTube sauntered into the room, approaching Tumblr and using her shoulder as an armrest. The teensy, hyperactive girl reached up and ruffled the shaggy hair under his red beanie.
"Don't start with me, YouTube. According to Fanfiction you've been hooking up with two ladies."
"ExCUSE me?" YouTube turned towards Fanfiction, who slid even further down in her seat.
"That's right. You're with deviantArt now, aren't you?"
Fanfiction tried to shake her head, but the room had already gone abuzz. Facebook was typing away at her phone while Wikipedia pulled Pandora's headphones off. YouTube was trying to apologize to Tumblr and she was trying to shut him up. Twitter's bird pendant repeated everything she said at such a loud volume it was enough to give everyone a splitting headache. Cleverbot (A science experiment from the minds of Google and Yahoo) poked her head in and tried to assess the situation.
As the noise grew louder and louder, DeviA's face grew redder and redder. She pulled her beanie down over her eyes and squeezed the pencil in her hand until it snapped. She felt Tumblr grab her hand and pull her to her feet, pushing her into the buzz. Finally, DeviA stamped her foot.
    "I'M A LESBIAN!" She shouted.
    The entire room went quiet.
Tumblr and Fanfiction celebrated silently together, rejoicing at their friend's courage. Instagram snapped a reflex picture.
"Hashtag; deviantArt flips out." Facebook muttered.
    YouTube cheered quietly.
"I am, too!" Twitter stepped forward. Facebook balked. "That's right! I like girls, too!"
Twitter grabbed Facebook and pulled the taller girl down, slamming their lips together. Facebook's cheeks flushed and she ran from the room, followed closely by Instagram. They shoved past a tall, lanky girl, light brown hair pulled up into a messy bun with a flower pin holding her bangs back.
"Sheesh, what was that about?" She asked, dusting her shirt off.
"Pinterest! Thank goodness you're here!" deviantArt ran to her longtime crush's side.
"Well, of course! We scheduled coffee at twelve, silly. I'm never late, you know."
    "I could use a break. Let's go."
Chatter picked up again as DeviA and Pinterest left the room. While Fanfiction looked for a napkin to clean the table up, Tumblr leaned towards YouTube and whispered in his ear.
    "I ship it."

I had to. I just had to.
